Russian Silver: A Russian 84 standard silver swing-handled small basket, Pavel Ovchinnikov, Assay Master Nikolay Nikolayevich Korbitsky, Moscow. Plain oval, the sides rounded at the base, on a collet foot, simple loop handle, marked with Imperial Warrant dating to 1887. 16.6oz.
Ovchinnikov's workshop produced silver, gold and enamel wares of the highest quality and he was awarded the Imperial warrant to Tsar Nicholas III, as well as being recognised as official supplier to Vittorio Emanuele II of Italy and Christian IX of Denmark. His products are of the finest quality and range to include the most finely worked enamel decorated pieces.

Barbara Adamson Calvert, QC (nee Parker; 30 April 1926 - 22 July 2015), known as Barbara, Lady Lowry after her second marriage, was a British barrister specialising in family law. She was the first woman to become a Bencher of the Middle Temple when she was elected in 1982. Calvert was born on 30 April 1926 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. Her father was Albert Parker CBE, a chemist. She was educated at St. Helen's School, an independent all-girls school in Northwood, London. She went on to study economics at the London School of Economics.
