R.M.S. TITANIC: Photo portrait of Titanic Captain Edward J. Smith with rare accompanying plaque stating the photograph was provided by subscriptions of Old Boys of the British School Etruria in memory of the bravery of an old school fellow. However the image itself does appear to have a label attached to the front of the photo. A letter from the Methodist Church in Stoke is included in this lot confirming it hung in the chapel. 19ins. x 22ins.

R.M.S. TITANIC: Second Class passenger Nellie Woolcroft, travelling companion of Clear Cameron. The letter was written in Mamaroneck, N.J. though undated it appears to have been written shortly after the sinking. There are four sides but the letter appears to be missing a final page and gives a first person account of her arrival in Southampton, first sight of the Titanic, departure from Southampton, arrival in Cherbourg and her final hours on 14th April.

R.M.S. TITANIC: First Class passenger John Jacob Astor Tiffany and Co. silver vase, pattern 1722SB. The blueprint for this particular item was created on July 13th 1911. The vase is engraved Astor Essex Cup 1912 and is being sold via direct descent from the family of White Star Line Victualing Superintendent John Bartholomew. Family lore states that Mr Bartholomew knew Astor and it is thought the vase was to be used as a trophy in a yachting race. 8ins.
The vase is being sold with a copy letter, plan and pattern book entry from the Tiffany Museum.

R.M.S. TITANIC: Continuous Certificate of Discharge to fireman George Terrill Thresher. The book includes the entry for Titanic "Intended New York" and also entries for both the Olympic and Britannic. Also included in this lot is a copy of Mr Thresher's Mercantile Marine identity certificate which shows a photo of Mr Thresher taken in 1918. It is unusual to have this identity certificate to accompany a certificate of discharge, especially one from a Titanic survivor. Unfortunately Mr Thresher died in World War II whilst serving with the North Sea convoys.
