180. Philatelic: 3 blue British Post Office Royal Mail Stamp albums in slip cases covering GB QEII post decimalisation mint issues in sets (1971 onwards). Volume 1 covers 1971 - 1990 plus mini sheets for these years. Main value is at the back, in the parcels stamps and the regional and postage due sets to £5 face values.
Volume 2 covers 1991 - 2000 plus mini sheets and Volume 3 has just a few stamps covering 2000 - 2001 issues plus Royal mail stamp sheets.
181. Philatelic: GB mint issues all reigns but only a few cheaper Victorian, Edward VII and George V issues. George VI up to £1 values (including 1948 Silver Jubilee £1) and parcels issues. QEII pre decimal issues including a castles set to £1 and the usual cheaper sets to 1/6d free values up to 1971 decimalisation including the 1969 castles set to £1.
182. Philatelic: GB all reigns used in green stock books from 1840 1d black (plate 1b) and 1840 2d blue (plate 1). The range of Victorian issues up to 5/- face value parcels. Edward VII issues up to 5/- face value parcels. George V to 10/- seahorses (2 printings). George VI to £1 (parcels). QEII to £1 Castles and fullish ranges of pre decimal definitive and commemorative sets, all used. There are a few postage dues at the back.
183. Philatelic: Some GB mint machin blocks (varied free values) and Castles set in gutter pairs to £5 face values. The machin blocks have De La Rue control numbers, a Enschede printed on side margins. A selection of "traffic light" commemorative blocks and other specials including some mini sheets. Most stamps dating from late 1980s onwards.
184. Philatelic: GB QEII decimal used issues in two Lightover stock books. Includes a few booklets a mini sheet and a little mint.
185. Philatelic: GB Queen Victoria 1840 1d black (4 margins). The folded letter was sent from Bradford Yorkshire to London on January 24th 1841 and the item has a red Maltese Cross and two circular post numbers also in red ink. A letter is on the reverse and the sheet was folded for postage in the usual way.
186. 17th and 18th cent. legal ephemera: Letter to John Campbell, Kenmore dated 1707. Debt discharge - Campbell family 1683. Small document - related to the Campbell family dated 1664. Debt discharge Hugh McGillies - Campbell document dated 1726. Debt discharge Campbell document 1693. Campbell precept document dated 1691.

This letter hand signed in black ink by Buzz Aldrin with a piece of Apollo 11 flight flown to the moon Kapton Foil are extremely rare, very few exist. On April 24th 2009 one the these letters sold at auction for £2.200.
Terrific content typed letter on Apollo XI letterhead regarding the 1st moon landing. Also mentioned in great detail is the "Kapton Foil," that protected the command module during re-entry into earth's atmosphere. A small piece of Kapton Foil is included in the body of the letter along the blue strip. This actual piece of Kapton Foil was part of the first moon landing where Neil Armstrong first set foot followed by Buzz Aldrin. Due to the extremely fragile nature of the foil, most of it burned away during the fiery 25,000 mph re-entry into earth's atmosphere on July 24, 1969. However, a small portion of it survived; salvaged by the North American Recovery team onboard the aircraft carrier Hornet, and carefully preserved for posterity..." terrific content, hand signed in black ink by Buzz Aldrin. These letters are rare and few exist.

305. Elvis Presley Memorabilia: Extremely rare original International Las Vegas Nevada ashtray. This ashtray with gold International insignia and the words International Las Vegas Nevada in gold letters would have been on the tables in the International Hotel when Elvis performed on stage, between 1969-70. What makes this a very rare piece is that the International Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada name would only last for a few years and later became the Las Vegas Hilton. Elvis was asked to perform for the opening shows, but the Colonel was against the idea in case there were technical problems as it was a new hotel, Elvis would perform shortly afterwards. In 1969 Elvis performed for 58 consecutive sold out shows, breaking all Vegas attendance records and then went on to break his own record in February 1970, August 1970 and August 1972.
306. Elvis Presley Memorabilia: This original plastic tail light lens from the 1960's MGA Vin, number GHNL75732 red sports car, driven by Elvis in the film 'Blue Hawaii'. This tail light was replaced during restoration of the MGA, at Jimmy Velvets world famous Elvis Presley Museum where it had been on display for many years, prior to it being offered in the Elvis Presley Museum sale conducted by Butterfield & Butterfield (Auction Red Book) on October 6th & 7th 1995, Lot 1206. Jimmy Velvet was President and owner of the Museum and the MGA sports car, which is now on display at Graceland. The tail light comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

They negotiated an unprecedented deal with the Colonel that resulted in the creation of a Hill and Range subsidiary called Elvis Presley Music. Elvis Presley Music, Inc" and "Gladys Music Inc" which would include Chappell & Co, Inc, Venice Music, Inc - to handle all of Presley's songs and accrued royalties. The agreement called for the brothers and Presley to split publishing rights 50/50, encouraging Presley to recruit songwriter to provide him with new material.

323. Elvis Presley Memorabilia: Elvis's personal copy of a script page from "Viva Las Vegas", filmed in 1963 released in 1964, from the Elvis-a-Rama Museum in Las Vegas. The following information came from the owner of the Museum before he sold it to Graceland. it reads as follows....."This script page dated, July 3rd 1963, was taken from Elvis Presley's script for his 15th and most popular film "Viva Las Vegas". The film co-starred his female counterpart and love interest, Ann Margaret. Elvis spent much of his time during the making of this film with his leading lady.

This hair sample was originally acquired from Thomas B. Morgan, Jr. on September 17 2002.
The following is an extract from a letter by Thomas B. Morgan, Jr affirming the journey this Elvis hair sample has taken.
"...I was a close friend and acquaintance of Homer "Gill Gilleland up until his death in May of 1995. During this time I had visited in his home on Jean Drive in Memphis and viewed many of his personal gifts and mementos that he had received from Elvis and Vernon Presley during the time he worked for Elvis. One of his prize possessions was a bag of hair clipping that he had saved over many years while cutting and styling Elvis's hair. Prior to Mr Gill's death, he gave me this bag of hair clippings given to me from Mr Gill have been in my sole possession up to this date."
Thomas Morgan Jr was personally acquainted with Elvis Presley, he served as an administrative assistant to Sheriff Gene Barksdale, then Sheriff of Shelby County and Memphis, Tennessee. During Thomas' service in the Sheriff's office, he administrated the Special Deputy program. Whilst on tour Elvis would frequently request that Gilleland fly out to colour cut and style his hair. This was well documented by the airline receipts issued. On the reverse is a copy of the flight ticket paid for by Elvis for Gilleland.
325. Elvis Presley Memorabilia: Elvis Presley 1970's personal handcuffs with original key made by Smith and Wesson. This pair of handcuffs (number 606626) were given to Elvis by Sheriff Bill Morris. The handcuffs were kept in Elvis' personal badge case and were later given to Memphis Mafia Member Sam Thompson. They were obtained directly from Judge Sam Thompson of Memphis, Tennessee. These were on display for many years at the world famous Elvis-a-Rama-Museum in Las Vegas.

On October 8th, 9th and 10th 1999 Graceland held an auction at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas Nevada, presented by Guernsey's. This is a very thick auction catalogue with page after page of wonderful pictures and descriptions of Elvis items. A limited number of these catalogues were printed at the time of the auction.
327. Elvis Presley Memorabilia: An Elvis Presley backstage pass with black writing "Now On Tour Elvis June 1972", mounted with photo and descriptive plaque. This item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity on which is written....This badge and others like it were used as backstage passes on the Elvis Presley concert tours between 1971 and 1976. For security reasons, a different colour badge was used for each concert. After 1973, a variety of buttons were used for show members, while this type of badge with the words "BUILDING PERSONNEL" continued to be used for personnel other than show member whose duties required access to the backstage area.......

337. Elvis Presley: 'Blue Hawaii' MGA seat belts. These original drivers side seat belts are from Elvis Presley's 1960 MGA Vin, number GHNL75732 red sports car and were used in the film. These seat belts were replaced during an Elvis Presley Museum restoration of the MGA prior to it being offered in the Elvis Presley Museum sale conducted by Butterfield & Butterfield (Auction Red Book) on October 6th & 7th, 1995 Lot 1206. They were on display for many years in Jimmy Velvet's world famous Elvis Presley Museum. Jimmy Velvet was the President and owner of the Elvis Presley Museum and it comes with signed Certificate of Authenticity.

He gave it as a gift to his friend Jo. The medallion has three diamonds in the Crown of St Anne. Comes with hand signed Letter of Authenticity from Homer Gill Gilleland Elvis's personal hairdresser.
